KanaPlex presents a unique formulation of blended kanamycin-based medication, meticulously designed to address a spectrum of fungal and bacterial fish ailments, ranging from dropsy and popeye to fin/tail rot and septicemia. Its distinctive feature lies in its ability to be absorbed by fish, making it particularly effective in treating internal infections, especially in cases where conventional food is refused. Additionally, when incorporated into a medicated food mix, it emerges as an optimal choice for tackling bacterial infections in aquariums housing delicate invertebrates.

While administering treatment in a quarantine tank remains the preferred approach, circumstances may necessitate dosing KanaPlex directly into the display aquarium. Vigilance is paramount during treatment, with careful monitoring of tank inhabitants advised. Prompt water changes and introduction of fresh activated carbon may be warranted as needed. Upon completion of the treatment regimen, KanaPlex can be easily eliminated using activated filter carbon, leaving no lingering residues in the substrate or filter media.

Dosage Instructions:

Dosing in Water:

• Remove all invertebrates, as they are highly sensitive to medication.
• Deactivate UV filters, ozone filters, and eliminate chemical filtration media.
• Administer 1 measure (provided) per every 20 liters (5 gallons) of water.
• Repeat dosage every 48 hours, up to a maximum of 3 doses.
• Note: In severe infection cases, consecutive rounds of treatment may be conducted, provided fish show no signs of stress post the initial treatment cycle.

Dosing in Food:

• Feed the medicated food mix (recipe provided below) daily until infection clears or up to 1 week. The medicated food can be stored refrigerated or frozen between feedings.

Medicated Food Mix Recipe:

• 1 scoop KanaPlex
• 1 scoop Focus
• 1 tablespoon of food (preferably pellets or frozen food)
• A few drops of water (if using dry food)
